Shop PC Cases for Gaming & Custom PC Builds
Build around the hardware you actually want to use. At Laptop Outlet, you can buy PC cases for gaming PCs, workstations and everyday desktops across mid-tower, full-tower and compact designs. Choose by motherboard support, graphics card clearance, cooling capacity, front connectivity and the features that matter to your setup.
Choose the Right PC Case for Your Build
A good computer chassis does more than hold your components. It gives your motherboard, graphics card, power supply and cooling hardware the space they need, while making the system easier to build, maintain and upgrade. The case itself does not make a processor or GPU faster, but its layout and ventilation can affect temperatures, fan speeds and component clearance.
Planning a complete system? Browse our wider PC components alongside your chosen case so you can build around compatible hardware from the start.
Mid-Tower, Full-Tower & Mini-ITX Cases
Start with the amount of space your build needs. Case labels are useful for narrowing the range, but they do not guarantee support for every motherboard, graphics card or cooler, so always check the exact product specifications.
Mid-Tower PC Cases
Mid-tower PC cases are the practical choice for many gaming, work and home builds. They commonly support ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, while leaving room for full-size graphics cards, storage and multiple cooling options. Choose one when you want useful expansion space without moving to a larger full-tower chassis.
Full-Tower PC Cases
Full-tower PC cases give you more room for large components, extensive radiator layouts, additional storage and easier access during upgrades. They suit high-end systems, enthusiast cooling and workstation builds, but a larger tower still does not automatically support every E-ATX board or oversized component.
Mini-ITX & Small Form Factor Cases
Mini-ITX cases and small form factor designs keep the footprint down without ruling out a capable PC. Compact models such as the Fractal Design Terra show how much hardware can fit into a smaller chassis, but SFF builds demand closer attention to GPU dimensions, CPU cooler height, PSU format, cable routing and airflow.
Still deciding on board size? Shop PC motherboards by form factor and platform before you choose the case around them.
Check PC Case Compatibility Before You Buy
Do not rely on an "ATX compatible" label alone. Before adding a case to your basket, compare the dimensions of your planned components with the limits published for the exact chassis.
- Motherboard: Check the supported form factors and exact dimensions, especially for larger E-ATX boards or rear-connector layouts.
- Graphics card: Check GPU length and thickness, then leave space for the power connector and cable bend. Front-mounted fans or radiators can reduce usable clearance.
- CPU cooler: Compare the cooler height against the case limit so the side panel can close correctly.
- Power supply: Confirm ATX, SFX or other PSU support, the maximum PSU length and enough room for cable routing.
- Liquid cooling: Check radiator size, mounting position and combined radiator/fan thickness, plus possible interference with RAM, motherboard heatsinks or the GPU.
- Storage and I/O: Check the number of 2.5-inch/3.5-inch bays and whether the case front ports match the internal headers available on your motherboard.
If the graphics card is the centrepiece of the build, explore gaming graphics cards and note the exact card dimensions before choosing your chassis.
Get the Airflow & Cooling Your Build Needs
Airflow PC cases give cool air a clear path into the system and warm air a practical route out. Compare front, top and side ventilation, fan mounting positions, radiator support and dust filters. A mesh front can reduce airflow restriction, but noise depends on the whole cooling setup - including fan quality, fan size, RPM and fan curves.
Check what is included before you buy. Some cases arrive with several fans or an RGB/fan controller installed, while others provide mounting points only. The same applies to liquid cooling: radiator support means the chassis has a compatible mounting position, not that every AIO will fit alongside every GPU, RAM kit or motherboard heatsink.
Need to complete the airflow setup? Match your chosen chassis with case fans in the correct sizes and connection types.
Choose the Look & Features You Want
Once compatibility and cooling are sorted, choose the design that makes the system easier to live with. Tempered glass PC cases show off your components and lighting, while mesh or solid-panel designs can suit buyers who prioritise ventilation or a more understated finish.
Selected gaming PC cases add ARGB lighting, panoramic glass, fan hubs or built-in controllers. A PC case with screen can go further by displaying system information or custom visuals, but an LCD panel is only included where the product specification says so. Likewise, fans and lighting controllers may be included on one model and optional on another.
Practical details can matter just as much as appearance. Look for front USB-C, easy-access USB-A ports, removable panels, dust filters, cable-routing channels, PSU shrouds and enough space behind the motherboard tray. Selected modern chassis also support rear-connector motherboard designs, helping keep visible cabling to a minimum on compatible builds.
Using a large tower cooler or AIO? Compare processor coolers against the case height and radiator clearances before ordering.
