YUV video
is a type of video signal that consists of three separate signals: 1 for
luminance (brightness) and 2 for chrominance (colours). This maintains a
better quality than the traditional composite video signal used in older
televisions, VHS recorders,
etc. YUV connections
require three cables (one for each part of the signal), although the
cables may be combined into a single multi-core cable for convenience.
The most common YUV connections
use three RCA connectors.
Functioning well with a
variety of DVD, VCR,
televisions and more, it is extremely practical. Extending up to 1.5
metres, the highly flexible black cable can reach long distance and is
not just limited to a compatible device nearby, but gives ample freedom
of movement to reach around obstacles such as furniture and extend
safely around the room without causing any hazards.
