ThinkStation Front 1394 Cable is fully compatible with ThinkStation Systems (P500, P700, P900). It provides a front 1394 interface on the front panel. ThinkStation Front 1394 cable should be installed in ThinkStation 5.25" Flex Module (4XF0G94538).

ThinkStation Front 1394 Cable (4X90H04224) provides front 1394 interface in the front panel. ThinkStation Front 1394 cable should be installed into ThinkStation 5.25 Flex Module (4XF0G94538).

IEEE 1394 is a Universal Serial Bus (USB) standard, transfer rate (1394 supports transfer speeds up to 400 Mb/s, and even higher rates have been proposed for the next revision of the standard), many additional devices can be connected to a 1394 bus. These could include devices like hard drives, motion video recorders, sound mixers, and so forth.
