Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 4
Processing and AI
Capabilities
The Lenovo ThinkPad P16s
Gen 4 is configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor from
Intels second-generation Core Ultra family. The processor provides 16
cores and can reach a maximum turbo frequency of up to 5.1GHz, with 24MB
of cache. It is paired with 16GB of DDR5-5600 memory, with two SO-DIMM
slots and support for up to 96GB of system memory. An Intel AI Boost NPU
is also integrated, providing up to 13 TOPS for supported AI workloads.
The system combines these processing components with Windows 11 Pro,
creating a configuration suited to professional applications,
multitasking, content handling, and general business computing.
Display and Visual
Workspace
The ThinkPad P16s Gen 4
features a 16-inch WUXGA IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200
pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. This format provides a little more
vertical workspace than a conventional 16:9 panel, which can be useful
when working with documents, spreadsheets, applications, and web
content. The display has a 60Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, and a
1200:1 typical contrast ratio. An anti-glare surface is included, while
the panel provides 45% NTSC colour coverage. The screen is non-touch and
also incorporates low-blue-light characteristics, making it a practical
display configuration for professional environments and extended
desktop-based workflows.
Professional Graphics and
Storage
For graphics processing,
this configuration combines integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics with a
dedicated NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell GPU. The NVIDIA graphics solution
includes 6GB of GDDR7 dedicated memory, providing a separate graphics
resource for supported professional applications and visual workloads.
Storage is provided by a 512GB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD using a PCIe 5.0
interface. The system includes one installed 16GB DDR5 memory module,
while its two SO-DIMM slots provide room for memory expansion within the
supported capacity. Together, the dedicated graphics, integrated
graphics, DDR5 memory, and PCIe SSD create a specification focused on
professional computing and applications requiring additional graphics
resources.
Connectivity and
Communication
The ThinkPad P16s Gen 4
provides a selection of connections for peripherals, networking, and
external displays. Connectivity includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports,
two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, and an RJ-45 Ethernet connection.
Wireless networking is handled by Intel Wi-Fi 7, while Bluetooth 5.4 is
available for compatible wireless accessories. The laptop also includes
a 5MP camera with an infrared sensor, privacy shutter, and Windows Hello
support. Dual microphones and stereo speakers with Dolby Audio provide
the built-in audio system. These features give the system a practical
combination of wired and wireless options for professional
communication, external equipment, networking, and everyday
connectivity.
Design, Security and
Practical Features
The ThinkPad P16s Gen 4
uses a black aluminium chassis in a clamshell design and weighs
approximately 1.82kg. Its 75Wh battery is paired with fast-charging
support, while USB Power Delivery allows charging through a compatible
USB-C connection. The keyboard includes backlighting and a numeric
keypad, providing additional functionality for users working with
numbers and productivity applications. Security features include a
fingerprint reader, TPM 2.0, Kensington lock support, password
protection, and a privacy shutter for the camera. The system also
includes a 100W AC adapter. With Windows 11 Pro, a professional-oriented
hardware configuration, and a range of security and connectivity
features, the laptop provides a versatile platform for business and
workstation use.
