The ThinkPad A285 features robust biometric security and data encryption, ensuring a high level of enterprise-grade protection. And with easy serviceability, you get ready access to internal hardware components for troubleshooting or upgrading. When it comes to IT, we’ve got you covered.
The A285's discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM) encrypts your data and passwords. Windows Hello uses biometric sensors to recognize you, for superior protection when you unlock your device with your face or fingerprint. And the optional HD camera includes ThinkShutter, a privacy cover that lets you decide when your camera can see.
Starting at 1.13 kg, this 12.5" laptop is easy to carry, whether you’re on the move between meetings or running across town. And with up to 10.2 hours of battery life and rapid-charging that takes a battery to 80-percent in 60 minutes, you won’t have to worry about charging time.
AMD Radeon™ Vega graphics make visuals more lifelike, colors more vibrant, and lag time a thing of the past. And Glance technology on the optional infrared (IR) camera merges face-, eye-, and gaze-tracking to switch windows based on where you point your eyes.
Like all ThinkPads, the A285 is tested against 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks to ensure it runs in extreme conditions. You get the perfect blend of value and durability when you purchase one.
The ThinkPad A285 integrates with the ThinkPad Pro Dock (sold separately), a system that’s shared across most of the 2018 ThinkPad models. The new USB-C side mechanical dock easily connects with two male Type-C plugs that slide into and automatically level your device. Once docked, your ThinkPad stays securely in place and sits at a slightly tilted ergonomic angle for comfort.
