Slim and Professional Design

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 Intel is a slim business laptop designed to provide a balance of portability, functionality, and everyday productivity. Its 14-inch form factor keeps the system relatively compact, while the lightweight construction makes it suitable for carrying between offices, meetings, home, and other work environments. Depending on configuration, the chassis can use a carbon-fibre hybrid top with magnesium and aluminium components, or an aluminium construction. The laptop starts at approximately 1.28 kg in selected configurations, with dimensions of around 327.5 x 224 mm. Its familiar ThinkPad keyboard includes a spill-resistant design, TrackPoint pointing device, and multi-touch touchpad. Selected configurations also include LED keyboard backlighting for additional convenience.

14-Inch Display Options

The ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 is available with several 14-inch display configurations, including Full HD IPS panels with 1920 x 1080 resolution and an optional UHD IPS display with 3840 x 2160 resolution. Full HD options can provide 300 or 400 nits of brightness, while selected configurations offer multi-touch functionality, PrivacyGuard, or low-power characteristics. The UHD option provides up to 500 nits brightness and 100% Adobe RGB coverage, together with Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR 400 support. The displays use a 16:9 aspect ratio and anti-glare surfaces, providing flexibility for different business and productivity requirements. The exact screen features depend on the individual configuration.

Intel Core Processing

The laptop is built around 11th Generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, including the Core i5-1135G7, i5-1145G7, i7-1165G7, and i7-1185G7. These processors feature four cores and eight threads, with maximum frequencies reaching up to 4.8GHz depending on the selected model. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics provide the graphical processing, making the platform suitable for general productivity, office applications, web browsing, communication, multimedia, and other everyday workloads. Memory is provided through soldered LPDDR4x-4266, with configurations available with up to 32GB. Storage uses an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, with the platform supporting capacities of up to 2TB according to Lenovo's specifications.

Connectivity and Communication

The ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 provides a useful selection of ports for professional and everyday setups. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4/USB4 ports supporting data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4a, together with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.0, and a combined headphone and microphone jack. Selected configurations can also include an Ethernet extension connector, smart card reader, and Nano-SIM slot for compatible WWAN configurations. Wireless options include Intel Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E, together with Bluetooth support. The system can support up to four independent displays, including the internal display and three external monitors through Thunderbolt and HDMI connections.

Battery and Business Features

The ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 includes an integrated 57Wh lithium-polymer battery with Rapid Charge support, allowing the battery to reach approximately 80% capacity in one hour when paired with a suitable 65W adapter. Lenovo lists different camera configurations, including HD and Full HD options, with selected models offering infrared functionality and privacy shutters. Security features can include a touch-style fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, discrete TPM 2.0, Kensington Nano Security Slot, optional smart card support, and additional BIOS security features. The laptop also supports Intel vPro on selected configurations and has passed MIL-STD-810H testing. Combined with its compact design, versatile connectivity, Intel processing, and business-oriented security features, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 provides a practical platform for professional and everyday computing.
