Oppo Enco X Review – Design & Build

We were not impressed by the overall look of the product during the Oppo Enco X review. Its casing has the same old construct that comes in two colours: black & white. Our model came in a black hue and features a streamlined curvature design. This is a compact, lightweight device that weighs about 42.5g and is very easy to carry around.

This is a sophisticated device that suits users with short hands. the handle has a unique diaphragm on the outer surface that carries a smart light with a shadow effect. Whereas its in-ear design and rounded cavity add extra flair without making it too bold or too dull. We loved the charging box’s arc which is designed in such a manner that it fits perfectly in palms.

The Enco X offers almost the same audio experience as its legendary PM-1 headphone. We were pleased with its performance and received a crispy, clear sound. The device offered echoing sound with the beats when we played Billie Eilish’s Ocean Eyes. Similar to its sound quality, Oppo Enco X amazed us with its controls.

We did not feel stuck as there was no extra resistance. The device responds swiftly to the touch controls which you can customize after downloading the HeyMelody app. To command volume controls, you must slide your finger up or down on any of the earbuds. You can skip a song or attend a phone call with the double-tapping.

How great is the active noise-canceling?

Oppo Enco X comes with an active noise-canceling feature, which is also its main selling point. All you need to do is press the earbuds for 1s to activate the noise-cancellation. The device offers two levels of noise-cancellation, lower and higher settings. You may notice an increase in the noise floor after turning up the ANC which causes a hiss. However, you can diminish the effect with the help of its transparency mode.
